CALL FOR WORKSHOPS
Call for pre-conference workshops
ECIM 2026 welcomes the submission of high-quality workshop proposals.
The pre-conference workshops will be held on the day preceding the conference.
WHAT is a workshop?
Duration: The workshop is a 2 to 4-hour session delivered in English. The workshop can be conveyed individually or by a group of up to 4 registered delegates.
Aim: The workshop aims to promote and enhance opportunities for knowledge transfer, skills development and collaborative learning in a particular topic.
Delivery mode: The workshop involves a combination of delivery modes including theory sharing, discussion, hands-on sessions, question and answer session, group work and others. There is usually a high level of audience participation and interaction between audience and workshop facilitator.
Difference from a symposium: Workshops differ from symposiums in that workshops are targeted at a smaller audience, are more interactive, and tend to be more hands-on.
WHAT information is needed to submit a workshop proposal?
1) Workshop title:
Craft an interesting and informative workshop title that provides a clear understanding and picture of the workshop. Make it interesting, engaging and descriptive.
2) Workshop proposal (maximum of 300 words) that includes:
- Learning objectives: Communicate a clear sense of the workshop and its objectives, and plan to either transfer and discuss knowledge, or increase the skills of the conference delegates. Tell them what they will gain from attending the workshop.
- Description of content: The workshop content should be current, supported by
research and consistent with best practices. The content should also achieve the learning objectives.
- Outline of workshop: The workshop outline should contain the activities carried out in the workshop. These activities can include, but are not limited to group discussion, pair work/small group work, role play, problem/case-based learning, and practical classes. The time duration for each activity should be listed (e.g. presenting the topic 30 min; hands-on 50 min; reflection & summary 10 min)
3) Materials: The type of resources that will be present at the workshop will also be listed (yoga mattress; massage cream/oil); dress code (i.e. light & comfortable). If needed to be brought by participant please be explicit.
4) Target audience and number of participants: state minimal and maximal number of attendees.
5) Biography of the workshop facilitator(s) (maximum of 150 words):

Workshops will pertain to the following topics:
Nutrition, naturopathy, functional medicine
Clinical themes in IM (integrative oncology/pediatrics/pain etc)
WHO and HOW will the workshop proposal be reviewed?
All workshop proposals are peer reviewed by professionals knowledgeable in the topic. Professionals will review the proposals based on the following criteria:
1) Objectives – Objectives should be manageable/achievable and strongly supported by learning activities throughout the workshop.
2) Expertise – Workshop facilitator(s) should be considered experts in their field, or possess a track record of clinical, teaching and/or research experience in the topic area.
3) Content and Delivery mode(s) – Content and delivery mode(s) should focus on participants’ needs, and adopt a learner centered approach.
4) Relevance – Focus of workshop should develop relevant knowledge and skills that will help IM providers to improve patient care.
5) Outcomes – Delegates will learn something new and be guided and inspired by the workshop facilitator(s) to improve their own professional practice and change for the better.

Rules for Submission
Workshop proposals must be submitted online via the website only.
PROPOSALS SUBMITTED BY EMAIL WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
- The same person may submit up to 2 workshops.
- Presenting authors must be registered participants. Only workshops of authors who have paid their registration fees by the Early Registration Deadline will be scheduled for presentation and included for publication.
- Submission of a workshop acknowledges your acceptance for the abstract to be published in any official congress publications should there be one.
- The presenting author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the workshop and agree to its submission, before submitting the workshop.
- Previously Presented/Published Policy: Workshops that have been previously presented at another meeting may be submitted.
- All submissions must be in English.
All abstracts should be submitted and presented in clear English with accurate grammar and spelling of a quality suitable for publication. If you need help, please arrange for the review of your abstract by a colleague who is a native English speaker, by a university-specific publications office (or other similar facilities), or by a copy editor, prior to submission.
- Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest: submitters will be required to disclose any conflict of interests in the submission form.
- Click on the SUBMIT button at the end of the process in order to save your workshop. You may log in to the system later to make changes to your workshop, up to the submission deadline. After the deadline, changes will not be possible.
- You will receive an abstract ID number via email after you have submition. Please refer to this workshop number in all correspondence regarding the workshop.
- Please contact us by email if you have not received confirmation that your workshop has been submitted.
- Please do not submit multiple copies of the same workshop submission.
Workshop Submitter’s Declaration
During workshop submission you will be asked to confirm that you agree to the following:
- I confirm that I previewed this workshop submission and that all information is correct. I accept that the content cannot be modified or corrected after final submission and I am aware that it will be published as submitted.
- Submission constitutes the consent of all authors to publication (e.g. Congress website, programs, other promotions, etc.)
- The Submitter warrants and represents that no part of the information and content provided by him/her (Hereafter: the “Content“) to ECIM 2026 and Kenes Israel (Hereafter: the “Organizers“), nor the publication of any such Content by the Organizers, on the internet or otherwise infringes any third party rights, including but not limited to privacy rights and/or intellectual property rights.
- The Submitter grants the Organizers a copyright license to reproduce, publish, translate, distribute, and display the text of the Content on a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable nonexclusive basis.
- I herewith confirm that the contact details saved in this system are those of the presenting author, who will be notified about the status of the workshop submission. The presenting author is responsible for informing the other authors about the status of the submission. The submitting author may request to be copied on the correspondence.
- I understand that the presenting author must be a registered participant.
- The Organizers reserve the right to remove from publication and/or presentation a submission that does not comply with the above.
- I understand that I must select a specific Theme, Topic, and/or Sub-Topic for my workshop allocation. Although the Committee will work hard to honor this selection, this cannot be guaranteed. The Committee reserves the right to change the Theme, Topic, or Sub-Topic under which the abstract was originally submitted.
